Thirty of the 67 victims from the midair collision between a commercial jet and a military helicopter in Washington, DC, have been identified. The crash occurred on January 29, when an American Airlines PSA Airlines plane collided with a Black Hawk helicopter. The plane, which had 60 passengers and four crew members, was en route from Wichita to Ronald Reagan National Airport, and both aircraft fell into the Potomac River.
Among the confirmed dead are 14-year-old figure skater Everly Livingston, 11-year-old Alydia Livingston, and Asra Hussain, whose husband, Hamaad Raza, had communicated with her minutes before the crash. Other victims include Disney on Ice skater Inna Volyanskaya, military personnel, and several passengers.Volyanskaya, a former Soviet Union competitor, was remembered for her exceptional skating ability.
