California Democratic Sen. Adam Schiff is considering rejecting a pardon issued by President Joe Biden to members of the January 6th Committee, including himself. Schiff, who had previously criticized accepting a pardon as an admission of guilt, expressed concern over potential “blowback” from accepting it. In an interview with NBC,
he mentioned that the committee would review the situation, as the issue is unprecedented and the law surrounding such pardons is unclear. Schiff acknowledged that they may have no choice but to accept the pardon unless there’s an attempt to prosecute the committee.
